Patchouli oil is obtained from fermented, and then dried leaves of Pogostemon patchouli. The oil has bactericidal, antifungal, antiviral, analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. In addition, it stimulates tissue healing processes.
Due to its properties Patchouli oil is part of the composition of essential oils used in the treatment of Lyme disease.
How to use:
Massage: to 10ml (tablespoon) of base oil mixed with 2-3 drops of Patchouli essential oil
Baths: 10-15 drops of Patchouli essential oil on a 3/4 bathtub filled with warm water
Flavoring: 5-10 drops of Patchouli essential oil mixed with 2 teaspoons of water
Method for preparation of essential oils mixture used in the treatment of Lyme disease:
- 110-120 drops of eucalyptus oil
- 80 drops of oliban essential oil
- 60 drops of lemon essential oil
- 40 drops of patchouli essential oil
- 20 drops of geranium essential oil
- 20 drops of lavender essential oil
- 14 drops of thyme essential oil
Contraindications: individual intolerance, pregnancy.
