Lavender oil is obtained from the flowers of Lavendula anqustifolia. The oil has antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, analgesic and immunostimulatory properties. Lavender oil is also used to support the treatment of muscle and joint pain, arthritis, rheumatism, inflammation of muscles, tendons and ligaments as well as migraine headaches.
Due to its properties Lavender oil is part of the composition of essential oils used in the treatment of Lyme disease.
How to use:
Massage: to 10ml (tablespoon) of base oil mixed with 2-3 drops of lavender essential oil
Baths: 10-15 drops of Lavender oil on a 3/4 bathtub filled with warm water
Flavoring: 5-10 drops of Lavender oil mixed with 2 teaspoons of water
Method for preparation of essential oils mixture used in the treatment of Lyme disease:
- 110-120 drops of eucalyptus oil
- 80 drops of oliban essential oil
- 60 drops of lemon essential oil
- 40 drops of patchouli essential oil
- 20 drops of geranium essential oil
- 20 drops of lavender essential oil
- 14 drops of thyme essential oil
Contraindications: individual intolerance, first months of pregnancy.
