Sulforaphane is an organic sulfur compound from the isothiocyanate group, naturally found in cruciferous vegetables such as cabbage, Brussels sprouts, kale, or cauliflower, with the highest amounts present in broccoli. Broccoli sprouts may contain more sulforaphane than mature plants. Additionally, broccoli sprouts are a source of vitamins (A, C, E, K, and B-group vitamins), trace elements (iron, phosphorus, zinc, selenium, manganese), and other components such as coenzyme Q10, carotenoids, or fiber.
