Teasel Root Therapy Teasel Root (lat. Dipsacus sylvestris) belongs to the family Dipsacaceae.The herb grows in the wild in almost all of central and southern Europe, including  Poland. The raw material used for medicinal purposes is the root and leaves.   Teasel root has gained popularity in Germany in the twelfth century thanks to the revolutionaries in the field of natural medicine such as Hildegard of Bingen. Teasel root was used mainly for rheumatism, arthritis and gout. Currently, this plant is particularly known  as a herb used in the treatment of Lyme disease.   According to many recognized herbalists Teasel root is an important plant that helps in the fight against Lyme disease.
