Geranium oil is obtained from the leaves and young shoots of geranium Pelargonium roseum. It has antiseptic properties and acts as an antidepressant. The analgesic properties of the geranium oil are in the treatment of arthritis, rheumatism and neuralgia.
Due to its properties Geranium oil is part of the composition of essential oils used in the treatment of Lyme disease.
How to use:
Massage: 10ml (tablespoon) of base oil mixed with 3-5 drops of geranium oil
Baths: 10-15 drops of geranium oil on a 3/4 of a bathtub filled with warm water
Flavoring: 5-10 drops of geranium oil mixed with 2 teaspoons of water
Method for preparation of essential oils mixture used in the treatment of Lyme disease:
- 110-120 drops of eucalyptus oil
- 80 drops of oliban essential oil
- 60 drops of lemon essential oil
- 40 drops of patchouli essential oil
- 20 drops of geranium essential oil
- 20 drops of lavender essential oil
- 14 drops of thyme essential oil
Contraindications: individual intolerance, pregnancy, oral contraceptives .
