Burdock has a strong antifungal properties including against fungi of the genus Candida. The herb also anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Burdock is also used in the treatment of gastrointestinal rhinitis, inflammation of the urinary tract and gall bladder as well as liver failure and metabolic disorders. Additionally, it is also used topically for treatment of acne, boils, dandruff and pruritus.
